The Quality Control Analyst II is responsible for providing support and advice to the laboratory technicians, the Quality Control Manager in respect of all technical matters in the quality control laboratory while maintaining GLP, GDP, and GMP standards.
The main responsibility is to have an in-depth, hands-on knowledge of all laboratory activities with an emphasis on product testing, finished goods product release and systems support while working alongside laboratory technicians on a daily basis and completing the full range of test undertaken in the laboratory (physical, chemical, and microbiological testing of in process and finished goods) to ensure products being made are within specifications and meet regulations. Initiates and/or partake in laboratory investigations (LIR) and quality incident reports (QIR).

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Completing the full range of test undertaken in the laboratory (physical, chemical, and microbiological testing of in process and finished goods
• The role involves the creation of routine laboratory performance reports using various IT systems operated in the laboratory (e.g., SAP and LIMS)
• Act as the laboratory specialist and key point of contact with respect to product testing for physical, chemical, and microbiological requirements.
• Maintain and enhance instrumentation, systems, laboratory environment, practices, and procedures

Experience

3rd level Degree in scientific discipline with chemical/ microbiological background.
5 + years proven experience of operating in a GLP quality control laboratory.
Mathematical/ statistical knowledge data analytics (e.g., Excel)
Strong IT skills.
Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis)
Proactive in highlighting and resolving any issues.
