HR Shared Services Advisor - Contract

Location: Cork Role: Contract Contract Length: 12 months


Responsible for providing HR support to employees, managers and stakeholders within the HR function.

Key objectives
Serve as a first point of contact for employees, managers and HR Business Partners, providing high quality HR advice and guidance with a focus on excellent customer service on a wide range of HR activities and processes
Responsible for creating new starter offer documentation and all HR associated onboarding activities
Deliver new hire inductions
Prepare monthly payroll and follow up on payroll queries
Manage core HR processes including on-boarding, off-boarding and transfers
Manage employee files and related documentation in HR system
Provide subject matter expertise in HR processes, policies and tools
Provide ad-hoc support for a range of processes including onboarding, off boarding, benefits, absence tracking, and payroll
Ensure compliance with appropriate data protection legislation at all times
Utilize HRSM technology to track and manage inquiries
Liaise with internal departments and third-party service providers as necessary
Contribute to wider projects and initiatives within the HR shared Services team


Must have an interest and understanding of general HR policies and procedures
Will have a strong customer service orientation while maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality
Must possess solid verbal, written, interpersonal and telephone communication skills
Must be able to identify critical situations and take action to escalate where necessary
Must demonstrate the ability to work in a team
Must be able to multitask yet remain detailed-oriented with sound time management skills
Must possess strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
Must be able to perform role under minimal supervision
Experience with Workday, Service Now or similar HR systems is desirable
